Journey back to the turn of the 20th century — to a time when the great Iron Snake was cutting its way across East Africa, changing everything in its path.

At the centre of our story are two Maasai brothers, Lenana and Sendeyo — divided by vision, duty, and prophecy — and the colonial powers that sought to reshape their land. As friendships are formed and betrayals unfold, a group of young people from different communities are forced to ask: what do we carry forward, and what must we leave behind?

Blending original music, powerful ritual, movement, and history, The Iron Snake is an epic youth-led musical drama exploring the complexities of identity, leadership, land, resistance, unity — and the choices that shape a nation.
