Overview

In his evocative solo exhibition, JANAM, painter and musician Marius Frank Ajuma brings to life the daily social and cultural rhythms of the Lake Victoria region. Born in Kisumu and now based in Nairobi, Marius blends expressionism and realism, using bold color and emotive brushwork to translate memory, emotion, and lived experience onto canvas. A graduate of Mwangaza Art School and the University of Nairobi, he has exhibited both locally and internationally, including in Venice, Italy. Beyond the canvas, Marius is also an Afro-folk fusion artist whose music, like his paintings, tells powerful stories rooted in community and tradition.
