The Business of Food and Wine Summit brings together food and wine practitioners in Kenya and the East African region at large, to discuss the business related issues in the industry.

Food and Wine culture has grown exponentially in Kenya and the East African region over the past decade. 

• Increase in the number and diversity of restaurants and hotels
• Increase in the variety of wine brands and wine importers representing wine producers from all over the world
• Increase in number of outlets selling food and wine
• Increase in number of food and wine online platforms/e-commerce
• Launch of wines and spirits professional qualifications eg through the Wines and Spirits Education Trust (WSET)
• Increase in consumer and trade events hosted by different wine importers or wine producing countries
• Growth of recognition and credibility of the sommelier profession locally and alignment towards international standards
• Creation of professional associations: Wine Importers Association aligned to KEPSA; Sommeliers of Kenya Association (SOKA) aligned to Association Sommelerie du International (ASI)

With all the above mentioned positive changes, there is a need for an event to share knowledge and experience
